We make five things,
and we make them properly.
sk:p started as an argument about waste. Six years later it is a permanent collection, four mills, one repair bench and no seasonal calendar.
In 2019 we were a small studio designing for other people’s labels. We watched the same thing happen every season: ninety styles designed, sixty produced, thirty sold at full price, and the rest discounted until they disappeared. Nobody in the chain thought it was a good system. Everybody kept doing it, because the calendar demanded it.
So we did the obvious, uncomfortable thing. We stopped designing seasons. What is left is a permanent collection of five garments that we remake continuously, improve quietly, and retire only when something genuinely better replaces them. When we retire a piece, we tell you what replaced it and why.
The hardest part was not making fewer things. It was explaining to everyone why we would not make more.
What we buy, and from whom
Every fabric on this site lists the town it was woven in, not just the country. Wool comes from a spinner in Biella whose water is soft enough to scour without harsh chemicals. Cotton poplin and silk come from Como. Jersey is knitted in Porto, denim is woven on shuttle looms in Okayama, and leather is vegetable-tanned outside Florence.
We pay these suppliers within thirty days, and we publish it here because the industry standard is ninety and everybody knows what that does to a small mill.

Moth holes rewoven, buttons replaced, cuffs rebuilt, zips swapped. You pay what the repair costs us and nothing more — usually between €12 and €60. There is no time limit and no proof of purchase required, because a garment that lasts is the entire argument.
If a piece is genuinely beyond saving, send it anyway. We take it apart, reuse the buttons and trims, and pass the fabric to a shredder in Prato that turns it back into yarn.
How we got here
2019
A studio, and an argument
Three of us leave a consultancy in Milan and rent a room on Via Tortona with a cutting table and a borrowed knitting machine.
2021
First mill partnership
Biella agrees to run our merino at minimum quantities most spinners would refuse. That conversation set the standard for every supplier since.
2022
We stop doing seasons
Ninety styles become twenty-two. Revenue drops 31% in one year, then recovers past the old peak by the end of the next.
2024
The repair bench
One full-time mender in Milan. Twelve hundred garments repaired in the first eighteen months, roughly a third of them older than the service itself.
2026
Capsule 01, settled
Five pieces we are willing to defend. We expect to change two of them this year, and we will say which.
